Where’s Luffy?

MINOT, N.D. — A Minot Air Force family is asking for the community’s continued help in locating their dog, Luffy, who went missing earlier this month while the family was out of state. The family was more than 2,000 miles away on vacation when they were notified that Luffy was no longer at the kennel where he had been staying. According to the family, Luffy did not escape on his own but left the facility through a gate that was not secured at the time. Despite search efforts since his disappearance, there have been no confirmed sightings. Luffy is described by his family as friendly and deeply bonded to them. His disappearance has drawn widespread concern across Minot, with residents sharing posts, hanging flyers, and keeping watch in their neighborhoods in hopes of bringing him home. Since Luffy went missing, the kennel has closed its facility, and its former director has reportedly left town. Attempts to reach the business for comment were unsuccessful. Authorities have been notified. The family says their primary focus remains on locating Luffy safely. “We feel very fortunate for all the support Minot has given us in our search for Luffy. We appreciate everything everyone is doing, and we couldn’t do it without them. We’d also like to thank the Animal Empowerment League, who has led the search from the beginning,” the family said in a statement. Community members continue to assist by checking security cameras, garages, sheds, and wooded areas, and by sharing information online. The family stresses that even small tips could be critical.
